Meet Dr. Daniel Gavan

Dr. Daniel Gavan was born and raised just outside of San Francisco, California. From a young age, he had a natural curiosity for science and healing, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in dentistry.

After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology, Dr. Gavan attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. With a desire to further his clinical training, he went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. There, while caring for veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces, he gained extensive experience in complex and comprehensive dentistry, including implant placement, endodontic therapy, and full-mouth rehabilitation.

His journey then took him back to California, where he spent three years in private practice utilizing digital dentistry, CBCT imaging, and modern technology to restore his patients’ smiles and function. Though the sun may shine a little more in California, his journey ultimately brought him back to Massachusetts, where he now practices and happily resides with his wife.

Dr. Gavan takes pride in using science and technology to provide high-quality, comprehensive dental care. More importantly, he believes in transparent communication and building strong, trusting relationships with his patients that are meant to last for many years.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Gavan is an avid San Francisco 49ers fan—though he occasionally finds himself rooting for the Patriots—and enjoys spending his free time outdoors.
